One out of three rental property owners require a security deposit

Nearly 1,500 landlords participated in the last CORPIQ survey conducted between June 20 and 26, sharing their comments on a very hot topic: moving and security deposits. The main information the survey provides is that 33% of rental property owners have already required a security deposit from a tenant when signing the lease. They use the deposit to protect themselves, even though Quebec is the only province that does not allow the practice.
