A Special Clerk Persists in Refusing a Clause on Air Conditioners
News
In a decision rendered two months ago by a special clerk, the Régie du Logement rejected a landlord’s request to add a clause to foresee conditions and costs following the installation of an air conditioner by the tenant. The clause required that the tenant obtain the landlord’s authorization to install an air conditioner. This decision contradicts the jurisprudence of the Régie du Logement’s revision board, a body that is intended to be of higher instance.
