Tenants Sentenced for not Having Maintained an Adequate Temperature

In a ruling issued this summer by the administrative judge Sophie Alain, the Régie du Logement condemned two tenants jointly and severally, to pay the landlord damages of approximately $7 500, which he suffered as a result of a frozen pipe under the sink. The tenants failed to maintain an adequate temperature in the apartment.
