Very slight increase in the median price of plexes

The median price of a plex traded in Quebec experienced a slight increase of 1% over the last year, and currently reached $376,750. This is according to the Quebec Federation of Real Estate Boards (QFREB)’s residential market analysis of the second quarter of 2016. Data varies from one region to another.
In Montreal for example, median price for the acquisition of a plex is positioned at $ 460,000, representing an increase of 3% compared to the same period in 2015.
Quebec is the only other region to have experienced a median price increase, coming at 5% to stand at a price of $ 307,000.
No changes in Trois-Rivières, where the price of a plex is situated at 139,500$; the lowest in the province.
In Saguenay, owners paid a median price 3% lower than last year’s, which comes at $160,000.
It is in Gatineau ($225,000) and Sherbrooke ($203,750) that the median prices of traded properties have experienced the most significant decrease coming at 10% and 11% respectively.
It is worth noting that a plex is a building of 2 to 5 units.
