Filing of petition: A significant milestone is crossed
News
The petition with 12 483 signatures asking the Quebec government to allow the ability to demand a deposit when signing a lease was filed before the National Assembly on September 17 by Mario Laframboise, Blainville MP and spokesperson for Coalition Avenir Québec in matters of housing and municipal affairs.
CORPIQ is awaiting to see whether the Territory Planning Committee, of which Mr. Laframboise is a member, will agree to study the petition. We will keep you updated on any development in the next few weeks. Interesting fact: less than 4% of the petitions filed since 2009 exceeded 12 000 signatures.
