Even though Bill 54 was primarily on the safety and well-being of animals, CORPIQ wanted to participate in the works of the Committee on Agriculture on September 16, to ensure that owners who deemed it necessary are never prevented to include a clause in the lease prohibiting the tenant from having a pet in the dwelling. This is indeed what the SPCA is demanding by circulating petitions to change the law.
