Montreal wants to reduce housing bureaucracy ?

In a recent editorial in La Presse written by Maxime Bergeron, he mentions his wish to see the Montreal municipal administration reduce its bureaucracy and accelerate the creation of housing.

The current head of Housing, Mr. Benoit Dorais, indicates that "there are 19 organizational cultures in the city, or thereabouts, there are certainly 19 urban planning regulations, and there is absolutely no common core". In this respect, CORPIQ can only share the analysis of the Vice President of the Executive of the City of Montreal of wanting to reduce bureaucracy. The eventual rent registry and the certification of Montreal landlords are good examples of unnecessary bureaucracy for the housing sector.
