CORPIQ's reaction to the 2022-2023 budget tabled by the Quebec government

Montreal, March 22 - CORPIQ would like to salute the Quebec government for the envelope of $165M in housing maintenance expenses over 3 years, as well as for the envelope of $250M for the creation of social and affordable housing and finally for the $75M in financing for the rent supplement program. CORPIQ shares the objective behind these decisions: to improve accessibility of housing in Quebec.

However, CORPIQ regrets the government's inaction concerning the revision of the fixing of rent setting method, a necessary measure to stimulate the renovation and improvement of the rental supply. This action would allow, in the short, medium and long term, the maintenance of the rental stock and the creation of new rental units.
