When to pay municipal taxes?

Since the beginning of the pandemic, most cities have offered taxpayers new deadlines for paying municipal taxes.
CORPIQ has produced a table showing the new payment dates for the main cities. You can also consult your city’s or municipality’s website to find out about the new terms for payment.

All homeowners in Montreal are affected by this change. Whether you are an individual or a business, you have until July 2, 2020 to pay the 2nd installment of your annual property taxes. (Instead of June 1st) |
Laval |
Homeowners in Laval will be able to pay their first two installments before September 1st without penalty or interest. |
Quebec City |
The City is deferring the next municipal tax payments according to the following terms and conditions:

Gatineau |
The City is deferring payment of the second instalment of the annual tax bill from June 30 to August 31, 2020 |
Trois-Rivieres |
The City is postponing the second instalment of municipal taxes to September 8, 2020 (instead of July 6, 2020) in order to give additional leeway to Trifluvians and businesses that need it. |
Sherbrooke |

Longueuil |
The City is postponing by 30 days each of the payment dates of the revised tax bills, scheduled between March 23, 2020 and November 5, 2020.
