How to register a judgment for non-payment on your tenant’s credit file

CORPIQ launches its new judgment registration service. Offered free to members and non-members, this service allows you to register a judgment for non-payment of rent or any other debt issued by the Régie du logement on your tenant's credit file.

The information will be visible to all who will conduct a credit check on your former tenant for 7 years following the registration.

The purpose of this new service is to encourage convicted tenants to respect judgments and to reimburse amounts due to their landlords.

In order to add a judgment to the credit bureau, certain conditions must be met:

• No request for collection has been made through a third party;
• The value claimed must exceed $ 100;
• The judgment must have been rendered in the last 10 years.

If your judgment fulfills all these conditions, send us an email at enregistrement@corpiq.com with the following information:

• Full name and date of birth of the tenant
• Last two known addresses
• The judgment in PDF format
