CORPIQ meets with Prime Minister's Office

CORPIQ Director General Benoit Ste-Marie and Public Affairs Director Hans Brouillette traveled to Ottawa to highlight the position of Quebec's real estate owners.

This meeting, held on May 30, was timely because the Senate should vote in the coming days on an amendment to Bill C-45 that would allow the provinces to ban culture for personal use - Quebec and Manitoba will legislate in this regard. However, Senators have already accepted the general principle of allowing the cultivation of four home-grown plants. The bill then has to go back to the House of Commons, where Liberal members of the Trudeau government have of course the majority.
