Cannabis : owners will get the right to change their leases

CORPIQ’s interventions during the public consultations on draft Bill 157 on cannabis have doubly borne fruit. The article of the provincial bill banning home cultivation was adopted this week, although challenged by the Parti québécois in the Commission on Health and Social Services. In addition, the minister responsible, Lucie Charlebois, announced good news for homeowners: they will benefit from a transitional period to add a clause to their leases in order to prohibit the use of cannabis.
