Mr. Pierre Gagnon, a former Administrative Judge at the Régie du logement who heard more than 100,000 cases during his 35-year career, came to testify of his vast experience in disputes between landlords and tenants. He also gave his thoughtful view on issues such as security deposits, lease assignments and the obligation to declare the previous rent, being in favour of a reform.

The Caisse de dépôt et placement du Quebec was also represented in Montreal to explain its mega-project for the development of the Metropolitan Express Network, the REM, valued at $ 6.3 billion. In Quebec City, the massive public transit project, estimated at about $ 3.3 billion, was also mentioned.

In addition to networking and meeting with several exhibitors, participants were able to attend an Altus Group conference on performance trends for a variety of real estate investment alternatives.
