In a decision by Administrative Judge, Jocelyne Gravel, the Régie du logement partially accepted a tenant’s claim for $80,000 in compensation for the disturbing noise caused by neighbors. In its motives, the court found that the Montreal Municipal Housing Office (OMHM) had not taken the necessary measures to stop the uproar and condemned the agency to pay the tenant compensation for moral damages.
