Rental board revokes lease of smoker tenant

In a ruling this past fall by Administrative Judge Isabelle Normand, the Régie du logement granted a rental building owner’s request to terminate a tenant’s lease because she was smoking in the unit although her lease forbade it and because her smoking caused him serious harm.
