Energy efficiency: One out of every two units needs renovation, but owners are reluctant to invest

CORPIQ and the APCHQ (Quebec’s association for construction and housing professionals) are joining forces to convince the provincial and federal governments to grant rental property owners a refundable tax credit as of 2017, when they invest in renovations to improve energy efficiency. In the current regulatory context that deters investment, at a time when the need for renovation is skyrocketing, this type of measure would bring several advantages.
