A tenant failed before the Court of Quebec in her attempt to obtain the cancelation of two decisions of the Tribunal administratif du logement (TAL), one refusing the postponement of the hearing, the other refusing the application for the retraction of the decision rendered in her absence. The tenant, who initially sued her landlord for a rent reduction, the execution of certain work and punitive damages, invoked the risks of the pandemic for not attending the hearing in Montreal.
