A tenant must respect his commitment to rent

A few days ago, a tenant was ordered to pay a landlord the amount of $1,529, with interest at the legal rate and the additional indemnity provided for in article 1619 of the Civil Code of Québec, plus court costs, for not respecting his commitment to rent the dwelling. The landlord was also authorized to keep the $300 paid as a deposit.
