Few non-payments of rent in Quebec in 2020

Despite dramatic job losses and the economic crisis that has set in, the overdue rent rate in 2020 was only 3.4% in Quebec, the CMHC calculated. Only the small rental market in New Brunswick (2.5%) and British Columbia (3.2%) did better. Ontario had the highest unpaid rent rate at 10.2%, compared to the Canadian average of 6.1%.
