Appointment of Marie-France Daoust at CORPIQ
Press Releases
The Corporation des propriétaires immobiliers du Québec (CORPIQ) is pleased to announce the appointment of Marie-France Daoust as Senior Advisor for Public and Government Affairs.
With more than 15 years of experience in entrepreneurship and property management, and having spent the last 10 years working in strategic roles within the Quebec Government, we are convinced that Ms. Daoust’s experience and skill will greatly benefit our corporation.
For CORPIQ, 2019 brings a wind of change at an unprecedented speed. Above all, several causes of importance to its members will be defended with the new CAQ government, such as:
- Introducing the security deposit to promote accountability and conciliation
- The removal of barriers impeding the maintenance of the aging private rental stock
- The right of management and the right of ownership
- The urgent need for a clear and responsive Housing Policy
The appointment of Ms. Daoust strengthens a team of 50 individuals, competent and dedicated to CORPIQ members, working in our three offices.
Reporting to the Director of Public Affairs, Ms. Daoust's mandate will include, among other activities, building and maintaining constructive bonds of trust with important housing stakeholders, both in the political community and in organizations related to rental housing.
"With CORPIQ’s introduction of the Fonds de soutien et de défense des droits des propriétaires, which will allow us to intensify in a major way our interventions on the political, legal and media scene, the appointment of Mrs. Daoust arrives just in time. Her increased knowledge of the government apparatus will be invaluable to the advancement of our causes for the benefit of property owners. We wish her a warm welcome, and the best of success" said Public Affairs Director, Hans Brouillette.
